Cheery about another cheerio!

Another lest the studio for good a little while ago. I'm delighted this outdoor pastel painted mainly with Unison pastels has gone to a good home! May it bring the new owner lots of joy as it brought for me and my students at Rydal Hall near Ambleside.

I'll be teaching there again very soon and in the Lake District during the coming months.

Here are some art holidays to come and join me in the studio and the great outdoors painting those fabulous lakes and mountains so beautifully intertwined in Cumbria.

I'll also be teaching further north in The Lake District also at Higham Hall near Keswick in the Western Fells. My next available art holiday with Higham Hall is featured here too.

All the others have filled so quickly and there are only a few remaining places on the rest! Fab news!

I'll be taking you all into the beautiful Newlands Valley to paint and draw when you stay with me at Higham Hall - it's going to be great! Really exciting and rewarding mixing studio with the great outdoors!

All art holidays with me can be found here (to include Spain!)

Remember, all the courses are now filling quickly (Spring must be in the air)! Pick up the phone and book your place!

I look forward to teaching you all very, very soon!

Bring it on!

Perfect timing!

New exhibition posters arrived today for our exhibition and how good they look! Great to show 'a little something' of a great deal we will be showing in our exhibition.

We are all furiously working away! I for one have been adding some finishing touches to some black frames around my large acrylics (and small ones too) so everything looks nice and smart and perfect for  the show!

Keep you postered!

(Sorry, couldn't resist that one!).

A great way to end the week....

'Nothing ventured nothing gained' as they say.

Well, everyone gains for the venture  of sending 2 of my charcoal paintings to 'Creative World' art trade fair this month in Frankfurt to be shown on the Nitram Charcoal stand.

The reaction to my work was great, really great! I'm thrilled about that. It's a tough competitive market so to stand out from the crowd is a great boost.

I'll also delighted to report that the mixed media charcoal drawings (featured as shown) which were displayed on the Nitram stand at Frankfurt I'm told, could have sold time and time again. However the proud owner of both black and white drawings is the MD of the company himself no less - Jerzy Niedojadlo which he is pleased to add to his personal collection.

High winds over Malham Cove. The Yorkshire Dales
Mixed black and white media with Nitram charcoal on paper
22 x 24 inches

Jerzy now has them in Canada in the perfect place in the Nitram office along side other great works of art within the 'Nitram hall of fame'.

Nitram charcoal will be put to good use once more as I share this fantastic charcoal amongst my students on an expressive drawing art holiday at Higham Hall near Keswick within the Western Fells in Cumbria from 10-15 February helping their drawings skills develop.

I'm looking forward to teaching there (as always) and sharing with you what we do.

Watch this space!
