Special greetings to you all!

Fabulous! I've recently received this table of goodies from the printer last Friday morning - 20 brand new professionally printed greetings cards featuring lots of paintings created with Unison pastels, Rembrandt pastels (and other mixed brand pastels also) Nitram Charcoal, Winsor & Newton watercolour and gouache, Liquitex acrylics...and so much more, especially in the mixed media paintings.

Several of the paintings have been award or open exhibition winners or featured within my articles with 'The Artist' magazine...or about to be!

Others have been created as demonstration paintings on several of my popular residential art holidays at Cober Hill (near Scarborough, East Yorkshire Coast), Higham Hall (near Keswick) and Rydal Hall (near Ambleside) in Cumbria, later finished in the studio.

All are being snapped up on a regular basis which is really great news for the contemporary galleries buying them and for all concerned.

See which ones you recognise from previous 'The Artist' publications recently! Answers on a postcard...or should that be a greetings card!

Release your inner glow!

Burnt Sienna is one of the most useful colours you will ever use. The colour gives a really unique glow and warmth to all your paintings.

Everything fully explained in the August 2015 issue of 'The Artist' magazine out now.

This continues my series of a select range of acrylic colours, carefully chosen for their versatile and very unique qualities.

If you want to paint your own, why not join me soon exploring the fantastic inspirational North York Moors landscape still further from 22-27 November 2015 at Cober Hill on the East Coast of Yorkshire near Scarborough.

Just another day in the office!

Things are warming up for our joint 'All Creations Great and Small' exhibition at 'The Station Gallery' in Richmond North Yorkshire 31 October to 11 November and with only 12 weeks to go it really is 'full steam ahead'.

This one is the view from 'Old Cote Moor' looking down onto one of my favourite Yorkshire Dales Villages - Kettlewell in Upper Wharfedale and will soon be finished and heading for the framer to be put to one side for our fantastic joint wildlife and landscape exhibition.

Magical light and magical to be outdoor painting in the garden and remembering the view in the Dales as I work on Canson Mi-Tientes 'Touch' pastel paper with mixed brand pastels - my all time favourite medium and for me, one of the best locations in England.

To see the painting with 14 more of my other expressive interpretations of the Yorkshire Dales, fantastic wildlife sculpture from Stef Ottevanger, creative mixed media wildlife and landscapes from Helen Patterson and Jo Garlick do come along and see the show.

Right....back to it!
