A creative approach to the 'bigger picture'

What a fabulous experience we all had together painting at Higham Hall near Keswick in The Lake district recently on a superb expressive painting art week.

Throughout the whole art week teaching it was really fab to teach everyone so much  - including how not to 'freeze' when that big white sheet of paper is right there in front of you!

This painting 'Striding edge - Helvelyn, Cumbria' takles just that. I threw myself into the demo and at several points 'threw paint at the painting as well'!

Here's how it looked and how it developed for everyone...

Thanks to David Robson (one of the students on the art break) who sent these to me! Much appreciated...to share again with you all the joy of painting at inspirational Higham Hall in the Western Fells in Cumbria!

If you want to come and join me I’m back again in the Autumn from 1-6 November 15 to teach again so come and join in the fun! We’ll have our own fireworks by the look of things!
